Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar has dismissed rumours about the withdrawal of Rs 40,000 prize bonds. Rumours are totally false and are spread by the vested interest for ulterior motives. There is even no such proposal under consideration of the government.

FBR and Govt of Pakistan should not impose more taxes on wining prizes. imposing more taxes on won prizes should be discouraged in future. Non-sense decision makers in sitting government and FBR blindly imposed 20% on all wining prizes. this act is very ShameFull and dirty. Govt should bring it 10% or less taxes or at least revert its hypocrite decision. Amjad Islam Mall Road, Lahore

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has dispelled the impression that the government was considering demonetisation of Rs5,000 currency notes and withdrawal of Rs40,000 prize bonds. The proposal calls for discontinuing prize bonds of Rs25,000 and Rs40,000 along with the Rs5,000 currency note, as these high-denomination instruments fuel corruption and tax evasion.

Deal All. Pleae demand from Govt of Pakistan for fixing only 5% TAx on small wining prize bond amounts ie 20,000/- If a persons wins a prize bonds , he needs to pay only 5% Tax on Rs. 18500/- and should no more to pay. for greater prizer bond wiing, all prize bond hold may need to pay only 10% or less. Govt shamefly imposed 20 % tax on all prize bonds, that is pure injustice and stupid policy. Govt should revert 20 % tax for all filers and non-filers. otherewise there will be bad lukc for rulling party.
