MCB CEO: SBP gives approval to Imran Maqbool reappointment


Reappointment of Imran Maqbool as the Muslim Commercial Bank or MCB CEO is approved by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Imran Maqbool reappointed as the new MCB CEO for next 3 years as SBP gave him clearance for the post. However, notification is already sent to PSX or Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Imran Maqbool has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance sector. However, he previously performed the role of Head of Commercial Branch Banking Group at MCB besides serving as Head Corporate Banking–North. In addition, he also served as Country Head of MCB Bank’s Sri Lanka Operations.

He likewise led Islamic Banking and Special Asset Management Groups. Preceding joining MCB in 2002, he was related with Bank of America (BoA) and CitiBank for more than 17 years.

Currently, he is an individual from the top managerial staff at of Adamjee Insurance Company Ltd., MCB Financial Services Ltd. and Pakistan Tobacco Company Ltd.

Imran Maqbool possesses MS in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts, USA and MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi.
