China and Pakistan signed the agreement for the 330 MW coal power project construction.

Thar Energy Limited Power Project, 330 MW coal power project construction agreement is signed by China and Pakistan. However, the signing ceremony for financing agreement is conducted during the CPEC JCC 8th meeting.

Khusro Bakhtiar, Minister for Planning, co chaired the meeting in China with Ning Jizhe, Chinese Vice Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission.

However, Masood Khalid, Pakistan Ambassador to China, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Khusro Bakhtiar, and other officials attended the meeting.

Saleemullah Memon, Project Director revealed that the project’s cost is $520 million. However, it will be finished with the financial support of two consortium led by Habib Bank Limited and China Development Bank respectively.
