Karachi Stock Exchange or KSE 100 Index falls again during the trading.
KSE 100 Index falls by 276.49 points and reached at 38,309.17 points. The stock market has seen another dull trading session as trading volume remained low. However, investors did not show much interest in the trading.
According to sources, KSE 100 Index came under pressure due to the lowering trade volume. However, just 46 million shares were traded on the index while 69 million shares traded in KSE All Share market. In addition, it is the lowest trading activity since June 1 this year.
According to sources, trading volumes declined at 66.8 million shares that were at 98.5 million on Friday. However, the traded shares value was Rs 2.78 billion.
During the trading, 311 companies’ shares were traded. 22 were remain unchanged, 176 decreased and 113 stocks have seen a rise.
Bank of Punjab emerged as the shares volume leader with over 10 million shares. Their share increased by Rs 0.21 and reached at Rs 12.95. K-Electric came on next position with 6.88 million shares, gained Rs 0.15 and reached at Rs 5.80.
