Google’s next Pixel lineup is almost here. The company has already confirmed the launch date and teased part of the design, while the rest is still coming from leaks. Here’s what’s actually confirmed, what’s still a rumor, and what it means if you’re hoping to buy one in Pakistan.
What Google Has Actually Confirmed
- Launch date: The Made by Google event is set for August 12, 2026.
- Four devices: Google will launch the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold at the same event.
- Design teaser: Google has shown the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera island, and it looks the same as the one on the Pixel 10 series.
- A new glow feature: Google confirmed a new hardware feature called HiLight, a light built into the phone that glows to give it a distinct look.
What’s Being Reported, But Not Yet Confirmed
A large batch of leaks has been circulating for months, and most of them line up with each other on a few key points:
- New chip: The lineup is widely expected to run on Google’s next Tensor G6 chip, built on a smaller manufacturing process that uses less power than before.
- New modem: Several reports say Google is dropping its old Samsung modem for a MediaTek modem instead, which could mean better signal and battery life.
- Android 17: Most leaks point to the phones shipping with Android 17 out of the box.
- Camera upgrades: New sensors are expected on the Pro models, along with a bigger zoom range than the current Pixel 10 Pro.
- Colors: Leaked color names include Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian, though Google hasn’t confirmed these.
None of this is locked in until Google says so on August 12, so treat it as a strong rumor, not a fact.
Will Prices Go Up?
Most signs point to yes. Google has already said memory chip costs have jumped sharply this year, and that this will affect pricing across the whole Pixel lineup, including the Pixel 11 series. Some leaked price estimates put the base Pixel 11 Pro around $899 to $999, but nothing is official yet.
What This Means If You’re in Pakistan
A few honest points, since Google doesn’t sell Pixel phones officially in Pakistan:
- There’s no Google store here, and Pixel phones only reach Pakistan through importers and resellers, after the global launch.
- Since global prices are expected to rise, the version that eventually shows up in Pakistan will likely cost more too, once import costs and currency conversion are added on top.
- Pixel phones sold in Pakistan don’t support 5G, even on PTA-approved units, due to missing local network firmware. This is unlikely to change with the Pixel 11 either.
- Don’t trust any local listing claiming to have the Pixel 11 “available now.” Since Google hasn’t even held its launch event yet, any such listing is either misleading or a personal import at a marked-up price.
- If you’re planning to buy one, wait until after August 12 for the real specs and pricing, then check with a local importer for PTA approval and an honest price breakdown.
