Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi 17 5G in global markets. The budget smartphone packs a massive battery and a modern processor at an affordable price.
Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Redmi 17 5G alongside its 4G variant for international buyers on 7 August 2026. The new 5G device delivers strong entry-level performance and extended battery life for daily users.
Powerful Display
The device features a large 6.9 inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen against scratches. The phone also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance
Snapdragon Performance
Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor powers the device. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, built on Android 16. Users can expand the internal storage up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Long Battery Life
A huge 7,500mAh battery powers the phone. The device supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging to charge other gadgets.
Camera Setup
For optics, the Xiaomi Redmi 17 5G includes a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. An 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
