Limited-Time Offer: Honda HR-V Gets a Price Cut Starting July 14

In a welcome development for car buyers, Honda has introduced a short-term price cut on its HR-V Petrol models—specifically the HR-V VTi and HR-V VTi S. Starting July 14, these trims will be available at reduced rates, offering a pleasant surprise amid current market trends.

Revised Pricing Details

Variant Previous Price Updated Price Difference
HR-V VTi 7,649,000 PKR 7,549,000 PKR -100,000 PKR
HR-V VTi-S 7,899,000 PKR 7,799,000 PKR -100,000 PKR

The HR-V VTi, which earlier cost PKR 7,649,000, now comes in at PKR 7,549,000, reflecting a PKR 100,000 reduction. Likewise, the HR-V VTi-S sees a similar price drop, bringing its new tag to PKR 7,799,000 from PKR 7,899,000. Honda has clarified that these rates are introductory and valid for a limited period, prompting buyers to act swiftly.

This move stands out as most car manufacturers are currently raising prices in response to the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy, introduced under the 2025–26 fiscal budget. While others adjust prices upward to manage added costs, Honda has opted for a temporary markdown.

Other Automakers Responding to NEV Levy

Honda isn’t alone in offering relief.

  • Haval has chosen to absorb the NEV levy across its full lineup, sparing customers from extra charges.
  • MG, too, has taken a similar approach by covering the levy on its HS Trophy model.

Honda’s pricing strategy mirrors these efforts, providing financial breathing room in a tough economic climate. Though the discount is not permanent, it signals a consumer-friendly gesture during a time of rising inflation and tax burdens.

Industry analysts suggest this limited-time offer could lead to higher foot traffic at dealerships and spark renewed interest among buyers. Those considering a purchase are encouraged to take advantage of the reduced rates before they expire.
