Gold prices in Pakistan saw an upward shift on Monday, following a similar trend in the global market. The price of gold per tola climbed by Rs1,600, reaching Rs 359,700.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the rate for 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs1,371, now selling at Rs 308,384.
Just two days earlier, on Saturday, gold had already increased by Rs1,100 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs358,100.
Globally, gold prices rose as well. On Monday, the international gold rate hit $3,372 per ounce, including a $20 premium, showing a $16 gain for the day.
Silver prices followed suit, with the per tola rate rising by Rs 65, now standing at Rs 4,087.
