Editorial Policy

Pakbiz.com is a Pakistani website. We publish business and finance news, market information, practical guides, technology news, and general news. Our pages cover gold rates, currency rates, stock market updates, prize bonds, and fuel prices.

This Editorial Policy explains how we source, check, publish, date, review, and correct our content. We want readers to know how our pages are made and who is responsible for them.

1. Our Editorial Commitment

Pakbiz aims to publish accurate, useful, and timely information. We want our market information to name its sources. We want our guides to be practical and easy to follow.

Our editorial choices put five things first: factual accuracy, relevance, clarity, openness about sources, and value to the reader. We cannot promise that every page is free of errors. We aim to fix mistakes openly when we find them.

2. How We Source Information

The sources we use depend on the topic. A fuel price report needs different sources than a stock market update. We do not use every source on every page.

Where they are available, we prefer official and primary sources. These may include government websites, ministries and departments, the State Bank of Pakistan, the SECP, the Pakistan Stock Exchange, National Savings, official company announcements, regulatory bodies, and public records. For news, we may also use reputable news outlets.

For financial and market content, we start with the primary source. If a claim could affect a reader's decision, we cross-check it where possible. We name the source on the page when it applies.

3. Fact-Checking and Verification

Before we publish or update a page, we aim to check its facts against the relevant source. This applies to gold rates, currency rates, prize bond information, stock and market information, fuel prices, government announcements, financial data, and business information.

When the same figure appears more than once on a page, it should come from one underlying source. This covers the main rate table, rate cards, FAQs, introduction text, historical data, and metadata. We avoid typing FAQ figures by hand when they could conflict with the main table.

4. Financial and Market Data

Financial figures can differ by source, market, location, time of day, exchange rate, dealer or jeweller, and market conditions. A number means little without its source and time.

A published gold rate may differ from the price a jeweller charges. The final price can include making charges, wastage, taxes, dealer or jeweller margins, and other shop costs.

Open-market and official or interbank currency rates are different things. We do not present them as the same rate.

Some city pages use a national benchmark rate. When they do, we say so. We do not present it as an independent local rate unless a reliable local source supports that.

For market data, check the named source and the date before you act on a figure.

5. Content Updates and Freshness

We update content when information changes. Rate pages usually need more frequent updates than evergreen guides.

Time-sensitive financial pages should show a clear date and, where it applies. We may review older pages when new information appears.

A page should not look freshly updated unless we have reviewed or changed meaningful information. We keep publication and update dates clear, so readers know how current a page is.

6. Corrections Policy

We may find a factual error, an incorrect number, outdated information, a misleading statement, a broken or wrong source, or an editorial mistake. Readers may also report one to us.

When this happens, our editorial team may review the issue and verify the correct information. We then correct or update the affected content. We update dates or timestamps where it is appropriate.

We handle larger corrections openly. If a correction changes what a page means, we aim to say so on the page. Small fixes, such as typing errors, may be made without a note.

7. Authors and Editorial Review

Where it applies, our content shows the name of its author. This helps readers see who produced it.

Relevant content may receive editorial review. Financial and market content needs extra care, because a wrong figure can affect a reader's decision.

We state an author's or reviewer's qualifications only where they are real and can be shown.

9. Financial Information Disclaimer

Content on Pakbiz is for general information and education. It is not personal financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Market prices change. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Please check current information with the relevant source before you decide. Consider speaking with a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.

We do not tell readers what to buy or sell. We use neutral wording. For example, gold prices go up and down over time, and physical gold does not offer a guaranteed return. When we report someone else's opinion, we attribute it to them.

10. Reporting an Error

Did you find an incorrect rate, outdated information, a factual error, a broken source, or a misleading statement? Please tell us.

Send the page link, what you think is wrong, and a source if you have one. We may review reported issues and correct the page when it is appropriate.
