Tecno launched the Pova Curve 2 5G in Pakistan today, October 15, 2026. The phone comes with an 8000mAh battery packed into a slim 7.42mm body. It runs on a Dimensity 7100 5G chip and has a 144Hz curved AMOLED screen. The price is Rs 99,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model.

Price and Launch Offers

The Pova Curve 2 5G is on sale across Pakistan from today in one variant: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at Rs 99,999.

Buyers get two launch discounts:

  • Rs 5,000 off when you buy through PalmPay’s instalment plan
  • Rs 5,000 off on Daraz with Tecno Fans discount vouchers

The phone comes in three colours: Melting Silver, Mystic Purple, and Storm Titanium.

Why This Phone Stands Out: The Battery

The 8000mAh battery is the main selling point. Tecno built it into a body just 7.42mm thick, which the company says makes it the slimmest phone in the world with a battery this large.

Charging is handled by a 45W wired charger, which takes the phone from empty to full in about 82 minutes, according to Tecno. The phone also supports 10W reverse charging and bypass charging. Tecno rates the battery for 2,000 charge cycles, which it says covers around six years of normal use. Light users may stretch a single charge close to two days.

Display

The screen is a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits 4,500 nits in a small area, with general use topping out at 1,600 nits in HBM mode. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen.

For gaming, Tecno lists a 2160Hz touch sampling rate and support for anti-mistouch detection, so wet or oily hands are less likely to cause missed taps.

Chip and Performance

The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chip, paired with a 2.4GHz eight-core CPU and a Mali G610 GPU. Storage uses the faster UFS 2.2 standard. Tecno says the chip can handle 90 minutes of Free Fire at a steady 60fps, backed by its Ice Cooling 3.0 system.

The company also says the phone is TÜV Rheinland certified to stay lag-free for six years of use.

Camera

The rear camera setup is simple: a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is 13MP, placed under the screen. The rear camera records video at 2K resolution and 30fps.

Tecno has added a few AI camera tools:

  • AI Eraser 2.0, to remove people or objects from photos
  • AI Flare Remover, for glare and haze
  • Image-to-Live, which turns still photos into short moving clips

Build, Durability, and Extra Features

The phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, plus 1.5m drop protection. It has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the software side, it ships with Android 16 and Tecno’s HiOS 16 on top. Tecno has promised two major OS updates, so the phone should reach HiOS 17 once that update is ready.

For network and WiFi, Tecno has added a G1 signal booster and a dual-band WiFi 5 chip, aimed at working better on Pakistan’s networks. Tecno also lists support for 20 5G bands and claims the phone gets a stronger signal indoors and in basements compared to a regular phone.
