0329 Which Network Code in Pakistan?

Short answer: any number starting with 0329 runs on Jazz. That wasn’t always the case though, and the reason ties back to a merger that reshaped Pakistan’s telecom market almost a decade ago.

A Warid Number That Became Jazz

Back in 2005, Warid Telecom entered the Pakistani market under the Abu Dhabi Group and picked up a fresh block of prefixes from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, 0320 through 0329. For a decade, dialing a 0329 number meant reaching a Warid customer.

That changed once Warid and Mobilink agreed to merge. The two companies announced the deal in November 2015, closed it in 2016, and retired both brand names in January 2017 in favour of a single one: Jazz. Nobody had to change their number. The network behind it simply changed owners.

So today, if someone hands you a 0329 number, you’re dealing with a Jazz customer, full stop.

Don’t Confuse 032x with 030x

Jazz runs two separate prefix blocks, and people mix them up often. Numbers starting with 030x were Mobilink prefixes from the start. Numbers starting with 032x, including 0329, were Warid prefixes that moved to Jazz only after the 2017 rebrand. Both blocks work the same way today. The split only matters if you’re trying to trace a number’s history.
