The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) is responsible for supplying clean water and sewerage services in Pakistan’s main cities such as Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi. WASA is responsible for ensuring that people have access to safe drinking water and proper drainage services to have a healthy environment. Recently, to ease the burden of bill payments, WASA introduced a way to check bills online. Now, users can check their water bill online in a matter of minutes, get a copy of their bill, and submit their payment without ever having to wait in a long queue to pay their bill. This online facility surely provides ease and aids humanity in keeping track of their monthly payments in the shortest time possible!
What is WASA and Why It’s Important
WASA stands for Water and Sanitation Agency, which is the entity responsible for providing clean drinking water and suitable sanitation for millions of people in Pakistan. It is responsible for water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment.
But, as cities have grown, managing paper bills has become a challenge. To facilitate customers, WASA quickly launched an online billing payment system, a modern way to check and pay your bill as soon as you get it, no waiting for a printed bill.
