The federal government has hiked fuel prices under its daily pricing mechanism, pushing diesel to Rs 393.04 per liter and petrol to Rs 336.15 per liter.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised petroleum product prices under the daily pricing mechanism. The new rates took effect at midnight and remain valid until the end of July 31.
This fresh revision comes as global oil markets fluctuate sharply. International crude prices recently fell up to 15 percent, rose briefly, and have started declining again.
