What Is FESCO?
FESCO is short for Faisalabad Electric Supply Company. It’s one of ten power companies born when WAPDA split up. NEPRA regulates it.
FESCO powers homes and businesses for about 5.4 million people across central and northern Punjab. That covers eight districts: Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Khushab.
How to Check Your FESCO Bill Online
Step 1: Grab Your Bill
Find your last paper bill. Look near the top left. You’ll spot two numbers: a 10-digit Customer ID and a 14-digit Reference Number.
Step 2: Type It In
Enter either number into the bill checker box. Double check the digits. One wrong number and it won’t pull up your bill.
Step 3: Check the Result
Your name, address, tariff type, meter reading, units used, and due date should all show up.
Step 4: Save It
Download it as a PDF, or print it out. Either version works for paying at a bank, ATM, or mobile wallet.
Where Do I Find My Reference Number?
Both numbers sit in the same box on your bill.
- Your Customer ID is the shorter one, 10 digits. Some bills call it an Account Number instead.
- Your Reference Number is longer, 14 digits, usually printed in bold. This is the one most banks and wallet apps want.
Lost the bill? Head to your nearest FESCO office with your CNIC. Staff can pull up your account from your name or address alone.
What Those Lines On Your Bill Actually Mean
Your bill is a stack of small charges added up.
Meter reading and units: take your current reading, subtract last month’s, and that’s your units used.
Tariff and slab rate: use less, pay less per unit. Use more, and each unit costs a bit more too.
GST: a sales tax the government adds on your electricity charge.
FPA, or Fuel Price Adjustment: this one moves. Fuel costs shift month to month, so this charge rises some months and drops in others.
FC Surcharge: a separate, fixed charge per unit, set by NEPRA.
Electricity Duty and TV Fee: a small provincial tax, plus a flat monthly fee for PTV.
Arrears and Late Payment Surcharge: any old unpaid balance, plus a penalty for missing the due date.
Net payable and due date: the total you owe, and the last day to pay before the price goes up.
How to Pay Your FESCO Bill
Got JazzCash or EasyPaisa? Open the app, tap Bill Payments, pick Electricity, then FESCO. Enter your reference number, confirm with your PIN, done.
Prefer your bank app? HBL, UBL, MCB, Meezan, Allied Bank, and NBP all take FESCO payments too.
At an ATM, look for Utility Bill Payment, then Electricity, then FESCO.
Rather pay in person? Try a bank branch, a NADRA e-Sahulat centre, or a wallet shop.
App payments usually show up within a few hours. In person, it can take a day or two.

Small Habits That Cut Your Bill
- Swap old bulbs for LEDs.
- Run your AC at 24 to 26 degrees, not full cold.
- Go inverter for your AC and fans if you can.
- Unplug chargers and gadgets you’re not using.
- Get your AC and fridge serviced now and then.
- Check your bill every month. Catch a spike early, before it becomes a habit.
