The price per tola went up by Rs 1,200. It now stands at Rs 437,536. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared this rate.
The price per 10 grams also rose. It went up by Rs 1,029 and reached Rs 375,116.
The rise in Pakistan matches a rise in the world market. Gold in the international market went up by $12 per ounce. The new rate is $4,150 per ounce.
Gold prices in Pakistan have swung in recent days. On Saturday, the price per tola fell by Rs 4,300. It dropped to Rs 436,336 that day. Today’s gain brings the price close to where it stood before that drop.
Silver also gained value today. The price per tola rose by Rs 66 and reached Rs 6,588. This is the highest silver price ever recorded in Pakistan, according to APGJSA.
