Petrol now costs Rs 387.54 per litre, down Rs 1.49. High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is down Rs 2.73, now selling at Rs 402.24 per litre. The Petroleum Division confirmed both rates in an official notification.
Petrol and diesel prices have dropped in Pakistan for the second time in two days. The new rates took effect from September 30.

The cut follows a drop in international oil prices. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sets local rates using a seven-day rolling average of the Platts Arab Gulf price.
Over this period, the average price of petrol fell to $127.92 per barrel, down from $128.76. HSD dropped to $111.76 per barrel, from $113.31.
This brought down the import cost too. Petrol import cost is now Rs 276.78 per litre, down from Rs 278.27. HSD import cost fell to Rs 317.24 per litre, from Rs 319.97.
Second Cut in a Row
This is the second straight price cut. A day earlier, on September 29, petrol had already dropped by Rs 2.27 and HSD by Rs 3.56 per litre.
Add both cuts together, and petrol is now down Rs 3.76 per litre in two days. Diesel has fallen by Rs 6.29 per litre over the same stretch.
