On 05 September, petrol stood at Rs 345.87 per litre. By 12 September, the price reached Rs 375.82 per litre.
The price did not jump in one go. It rose in small steps, almost every single day.

Diesel and Kerosene Also Cost More
Petrol was not the only fuel to go up. Diesel and kerosene rose too.
High Speed Diesel moved from Rs 378.05 to Rs 403.32 per litre. That is a rise of Rs 25.27.
Light Diesel went from Rs 267.06 to Rs 279.55 per litre. That is up by Rs 12.49.
Kerosene oil climbed from Rs 307.00 to Rs 324.35 per litre. That is a rise of Rs 17.35.
