Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) is preparing to launch the Cannon Alpha. The company says its local assembly (CKD) preparations are already complete.
Sazgar shared the update at its September 2026 corporate briefing on FY2026 results. It owns the GWM and BAIC brands in Pakistan.

Current Prices Stay for Now
Sazgar says its current prices are only indicative until the new policy arrives. The sales tax rate has gone up to 18%. Even so, the company is not passing the extra tax on to buyers.
If the policy is delayed for months, today’s prices will stay. Any later policy change could then change prices.
