The Rs. 25,000 bond is split into three series, A, B, and C. One common set of winning numbers is drawn, and it applies to all three series. So each series carries its own full set of prizes.

What Makes the Rs. 25,000 Bond Different From Other Prize Bonds

Most Pakistani prize bonds (Rs. 100, 200, 750, 1,500, and 7,500) are bearer bonds, whoever holds the paper can cash it in, no name attached. The Rs. 25,000 bond works differently:

• It’s registered in your name and linked to your CNIC.
• You need a bank account before you can buy it, the account is mandatory, not optional.
• If you win, the prize money is paid straight into that bank account. There’s no form to fill out or bond to submit for the payout.
• The bond itself can still be transferred or pledged to someone else if you choose to.
• Any adult Pakistani can buy one. Overseas Pakistanis can too, using a valid NICOP or Pakistan Origin Card.

Official Method: 

• Go to the official National Savings results page at savings.gov.pk (or the search tool on this page).
• Choose the Rs. 25,000 denomination.
• Select the correct draw number and date (for example, Draw No. 23, 10 September 2026).
• Type in your bond number and compare it against the winning list, or download the full PDF.

Tax on Rs. 25,000 Prize Bond Winnings

Prize money is taxed at source before it reaches your account, under Section 156 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001:

• 15% if you’re on the FBR Active Taxpayers List
• 30% if you’re not

For example, on a Rs. 300,000 third prize, a filer keeps Rs. 255,000, while a non-filer keeps Rs. 210,000. Getting on the Active Taxpayers List before you win makes a real difference on the bigger prizes.

How to Buy a Rs. 25,000 Premium Prize Bond

You can buy this bond from State Bank of Pakistan (SBP BSC) field offices or from authorized commercial bank branches. You’ll need:

• A filled application form (available at the point of purchase)
• Your original CNIC (or NICOP/POC for overseas Pakistanis)
• A bank account in your name, since registration is required before the bond is issued
• Payment by cash, cheque, pay order, or bank draft

Registration is a one-time step. Once it’s done, you can buy more Rs. 25,000 bonds later without repeating the process. There’s no upper limit on how many you can hold, and the bond has no maturity date, you can hold it for as long as you like.
