This small mark on the jewelry shows the real purity, such as 22K or 24K. Do not buy gold without it.
The receipt should list the weight, karat, and price you paid. Keep it safe in case you want to sell or exchange later.
Rates can differ slightly from shop to shop in the same market, so it pays to compare before you buy.
The making charge (labour cost) is the one part of the bill you can discuss and lower. The gold rate itself stays the same across shops.
Gold Rate in Hyderabad Sindh Updated
Gold rate in Hyderabad has not changed today. The price is still Rs. 436,992 per tola for 24K gold, the same level it held yesterday. This means buyers and sellers in Hyderabad’s Sarafa Bazar and Sunaar Gali are working with the same numbers as the day before, with no fresh movement from either the international market or the rupee-dollar rate
How Hyderabad’s Gold Rate Gets Set
The rate on this page doesn’t come from Hyderabad alone. It passes through a few hands before it lands on a jeweler’s board:
World price — Gold trades in US dollars per ounce on the London Bullion Market. This is the base figure every country’s local price is built on.
National rate — The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association takes that world price, factors in the rupee-dollar exchange rate, and issues one official rate for the country each morning.
Local adjustment — The Hyderabad Sarafa Association takes this national rate and fine-tunes it slightly for local demand and the cost of bringing gold into the city.
Shop price — What you actually pay at a counter is this rate, plus making charges and sometimes a small design fee. The gold rate is the same for every shop in the city on a given day. Making charges are not, and they’re the one part of the bill you can bargain on.
Knowing this chain helps you spot a fair price. If a shop quotes you well above today’s rate, ask them to break the bill into two lines: gold value and making charges.
Where People Buy Gold in Hyderabad
Hyderabad’s gold trade is centered on Shahi Bazaar, one of the longest bazaars in Asia, running close to 2 kilometers from Pacca Qila to the Market Tower (Navalrai Clock Tower). Inside and around this old bazaar sits Sarafa Bazar, the city’s main gold and jewelry trading hub, along with Sunaar Gali, literally “goldsmith’s lane” — where a cluster of the city’s jewelers and gold traders keep their shops.
Outside the old city, Latifabad and Saddar have grown into newer jewelry markets with more modern showrooms. The gold rate itself is the same across the city on any given day, but making charges tend to run a bit higher in these newer showrooms than in the older shops around Sarafa Bazar.
If you’re new to buying gold in Hyderabad, the old city bazaars are worth seeing even if you end up buying somewhere else. Checking two or three shops before you settle on one is normal practice here, and it can save you real money on making charges.
This is the first site I open when someone says gold price has changed. I find it always updated.
This page is very helpful. Even my parents use it now because the prices are mentioned clearly.
Gold prices in Hyderabad are going wild again. Rs. 4.52 lakh per tola today. Can you believe that? It’s getting so hard to keep up with these daily changes. Last week it was lower, now it’s jumped again. Honestly, gold shopping has become like checking the stock market. I was planning to buy a small set for a family event, but with these rates, looks like I’ll have to wait it out a bit more.
