Local gold prices increased slightly on Monday as 24-karat gold gained Rs 300 per tola. The small increase follows minor upward movements in international market rates.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association announced a small price increase in domestic gold rates to start the week. The price of 24-karat gold moved up by Rs 300, continuing a calm period after earlier market changes. Local jewelers linked this small increase directly to minor gains in global gold prices during trading hours.
Updated Domestic Gold and Silver Prices
The latest rates confirmed by local sarafa markets show small gains across major weight categories:
- 24-Karat Gold (Per Tola): Increased by Rs 300 to reach Rs 424,536.
- 24-Karat Gold (10 Grams): Increased by Rs 258 to reach Rs 363,971.
- 22-Karat Gold (10 Grams): Increased to reach Rs 333,652.
- 24-Karat Silver (Per Tola): Increased by Rs 107 to reach Rs 6,177.
Global Reasons Behind the Price Rise
International market conditions provided small support for local prices. Global spot gold prices rose by around 3 dollars per ounce. It is trading near the 4,020-dollar mark.
At the same time, stable Pakistani currency rates against the US dollar helped stop major price jumps. Financial analysts note that as long as international markets remain calm and currency rates stay predictable, local gold prices will continue to change slowly.
