Indus Motor Company has announced a massive price drop for the Toyota Yaris in Pakistan, lowering costs for top-tier variants by up to Rs 400,000 to mark its 35th year of operations.
Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a major gift for its customers. The company has officially reduced the prices of its top-spec Yaris 1.5 ATIV X variants on Thursday.
According to a notification from the company, the following are the new prices:

Direct Response to New Competition
The Toyota Yaris price reduction comes right after Hyundai launched its new Elantra 1.6L Special Edition on May 12, 2026. Hyundai introduced its new model at Rs 6,449,000, the same price point where the top-spec Yaris previously sat.
By cutting its prices now, Toyota has made the Yaris about Rs 450,000 cheaper than Hyundai’s new Elantra. This move makes the Yaris a very attractive and more affordable option for sedan buyers.
Tax Benefits For 1.3L Variants
Beyond the anniversary promotion, Toyota is also using these price changes to help customers save on government taxes. Recently, the sales tax on cars priced above Rs 4 million was increased from 18% to 25%.
By keeping the prices of the smaller 1.3L Yaris variants (like the GLI and ATIV) under that Rs 4 million limit before taxes, Toyota is making sure these cars stay in the 18% tax bracket. This helps keep the overall cost of the car much lower for the average buyer.
Why Toyota Is Cutting Prices Now
The auto industry in Pakistan has been slow lately. Total car sales over the last eight months have dropped by 41% due to high interest rates and reduced purchasing power.
Industry experts from AKD Securities say that Yaris sales have slowed down to about 600 units a month. Toyota is offering this “anniversary special” to attract more customers and clear out its stock. If you have been planning to buy a Yaris, this limited-time offer might be the best chance you get.
