Pakistan Stock Market Opens Higher, PSX-100 Index Crosses 171,000 Points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on a positive note on Monday with a rise of 528 points, the first trading day of the week.

Trading began with a rise of 528 points. This pushed the benchmark KSE-100 index back above the 171,000-point mark.

The index kept climbing after the opening bell. It gained 848 points to trade at 171,732 points.

The market had also ended strong last week. On Friday, the KSE-100 index had risen by 1,841 points.
