Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, in line with a slight upward trend in the international market. The price of 24K gold per tola went up by Rs 500, taking the new rate to Rs 456,000.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APSJA), the price of 10 grams of 24K gold also moved higher and now stands at Rs 390,950.
Updated gold rates by purity are as follows:
- 24K gold: Rs 456,000 per tola — Rs 390,950 per 10 grams
- 22K gold: Rs 418,111 per tola — Rs 358,371 per 10 grams
- 21K gold: Rs 399,106 per tola — Rs 342,082 per 10 grams
- 20K gold: Rs 380,101 per tola — Rs 325,792 per 10 grams
- 18K gold: Rs 342,091 per tola — Rs 293,213 per 10 grams
Silver prices also increased, with silver now trading at Rs 6,676 per tola in the local market.
Traders said gold prices rose due to a mild recovery in global rates, while local demand remained steady.
