Meezan Bank is considering opening its branches on Sundays in regions where Friday is observed as the weekly holiday. The update was shared during the bank’s Q2 2025 briefing, where officials confirmed that the proposal of Meezan Bank to open on Sunday is under review. In addition to this, the bank is also considering the possibility of increasing working hours at some of its outlets especially those outlets near markets that stay open late in the night or early in the morning.
Currently, Meezan Bank does not have any operation on Sundays except at special occasions like Hajj applications collection over the years. By introducing regular Sunday banking, the bank would be, for the first time, including Sunday in its working period. Customers are closely monitoring developments to know whether Meezan Bank open on Sunday will become a permanent feature of its services.

Currently, Meezan Bank timing on Saturday is fixed at 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for branches that remain operational on weekends. Not all branches operate on this schedule but those that are open follow this schedule. Bank officials have clarified that the plan for Sunday operations is still under consideration, and no official date of implementation has been confirmed.
