The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification increasing domestic LPG prices for December 2025.
An 11.8-kilogram household cylinder has become Rs 87.21 more expensive. The new per kilogram rate is Rs 208.99, making the total cost of a cylinder Rs 2,466.10. The increase is effective immediately.

Producer prices of LPG have also risen by Rs 7,390 per ton, from Rs 160,300 to Rs 167,691. Consumer price per ton increased from Rs 201,600 to Rs 208,991.
The sudden increase may raise cooking and transport costs for families in Pakistan. Experts and authorities warn that it could affect daily expenses.
Reason Behind Fuel Price Changes
The price rise is due to a 4.93% increase in Saudi LPG rates (Saudi Aramco CP) and the change in the dollar value.
Meanwhile, the federal government has reduced petrol by Rs 2 and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 4.79 per liter starting December 1. Petrol now costs Rs 263.45 per liter, and HSD is Rs 279.65 per liter, based on OGRA’s recommendations.
This LPG price change is based on global fuel costs and exchange rates. It keeps the market stable. It also helps match the prices with the international rates.
