Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed a new cargo interline special-rate agreement with Biman Bangladesh Airlines. According to PIA, the collaboration will contribute to making supply chains stronger and the cross-border trade easier.
The deal, which takes effect on December 1, aims to simplify the movement of goods between Pakistan and Bangladesh. This is aimed at increasing trade and ensuring that cargo services are more reliable.
PIA said that the new partnership will utilize such major cities in Saudi Arabia as Jeddah, Medina, and Riyadh as hubs to form a smooth trade route. It will accelerate air cargo flights and streamline the entire system. Both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan exporters and importers will receive additional cargo space and enhanced logistics services.

The partnership targets key products like textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural items that require quick and secure transportation.
The airlines expect fewer delays and handling problems, and they aim to provide cheaper cargo services by working together.
Experts say this move could strengthen economic relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Air cargo demand in South Asia is rising because of the growth of online shopping and the need to quickly ship valuable items.
PIA said it remains committed to helping Pakistani businesses with dependable cargo services in the region. According to PIA, the collaboration will contribute to making supply chains stronger and the cross-border trade easier.
