Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has stated the resumption of flights between Islamabad and London from March 29, 2026.
The national carrier will operate four weekly flights to London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, marking the return of a key international route that was paused six years ago.
The airline’s spokesman noted that PIA already runs three weekly services to Manchester in the UK, and adding London will expand travel options for passengers between Pakistan and Britain. This move comes as part of PIA’s broader efforts to restore major international connections and meet rising passenger demand.
Industry experts say the London route has historically been one of PIA’s most popular international services, serving both business and diaspora travel. The planned flights will enhance people-to-people connections, tourism, and trade between the UK and Pakistan.
The international service offered by PIA was impacted in recent years by regulatory and safety-related issues, though the aviation quality has improved, UK flights have already been introduced with new routes to start with Manchester in late 2025.
The announcement has been received well by the passengers and the travel agencies, who expressed that more direct PIA flights will save much time and provide more connectivity to the passengers traveling between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
