The Government of Balochistan has made plans to create the Bank of Balochistan as it will be an avenue that will offer modern financial services, which in turn will help in growing the economy in the province.
A high-level meeting was headed by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti where the feasibility report of Bank of Balochistan was made viable. He instructed officials to come up with an operational plan in a week to be put early into action.
According to Sarfraz Bugti, the Bank of Balochistan will provide banking facilities to citizens, traders, and investors. He said the initiative will generate employment opportunities for youth, enhance business activities, and speed up development projects in the province.
The Chief Minister added that the creation of the Bank of Balochistan is a major step toward strengthening the provincial economy through effective use of local resources.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, and other senior officials. Experts from the banking sector also joined the discussion online. It was agreed that the project of the Bank of Balochistan will be made operational soon.
