Gold and Silver Prices Go Down Again in Pakistan After Global Prices Fall

Gold and silver prices fell again in Pakistan on Wednesday, following a decline in international markets. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association reported that 24 karat gold dropped by Rs. 11,300 per tola, while silver fell by Rs. 270 per tola. International rates for both metals also moved lower.

Gold: down $113, now trading at $4,315 per ounce
Silver: down $2.70, now trading at $63.80 per ounce

Local gold and silver rates in Pakistan are set by the Sarafa Association and generally move in line with international prices and the rupee’s exchange rate against the dollar. When global rates fall, local rates usually follow the same day.
