Gold Price Jumps Rs11,200 Per Tola, Just a Day After a Big Drop

Gold price in Pakistan jumped on Thursday, one day after it fell sharply. The rate for one tola of 24-karat gold rose by Rs11,200, reaching Rs465,236. The rise followed a gain in the world gold market too.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared these rates. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs9,602, now standing at Rs398,864. The 22-karat rate for 10 grams rose by Rs8,802, reaching Rs365,638.

On Wednesday, gold had fallen by Rs11,300 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs454,036. Thursday’s rise brings the price back up close to where it stood before that drop.

In the world market, gold rose by $112 to reach $4,427 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver also went up. The price of one tola rose by Rs185 to Rs7,044, and 10 grams of silver rose by Rs159 to Rs6,039. In the world market, silver gained $1.85 to reach $65.65 per ounce.
