Islamabad — Government-run broadcaster Shalimar Recording & Broadcasting Company Limited (SRBC), the operator of ATV, has confirmed that all employees are being released as part of the liquidation process ordered by the Islamabad High Court. A formal service-termination order issued on 24 November directs that the entire workforce will conclude duties by 30 November 2025.
This provision governs all categories of employees, including permanent employees, contract employees, deputed employees, temporary and daily-wage employees, broadcast contributors, and any employee in an acting or other capacity.
Employees have been instructed to finalize their assignments and complete all handover procedures by 28 November. This includes the reversal of official documents, electronic credentials, technical equipment, media storage devices, and other objects. The administration, finance, engineering, and station management representatives have been appointed to supervise the transition.

Staff must also submit clearance forms, CNIC copies, bank details, and updated contact numbers for record-keeping. The company declared that all payout claims, which include gratuity, leave encashment, and unpaid salary readjustment, will be satisfied merely when there are sufficient funds on the liquidation list and according to the court-accepted priority list.
SRBC emphasized that the employee layoffs stem directly from the court’s ruling and should not be interpreted as disciplinary action. The order is signed by Muhammad Atif Saeed on behalf of the official liquidators and circulated to relevant state institutions.
