0327 Which Network Code in Pakistan?

0327 which network code, you ask? The short answer: 0327 was a Warid Telecom prefix. Warid merged with Jazz (Mobilink) in 2016, so any number starting with 0327 runs on the Jazz network today. This page covers how that happened, lists every mobile network code used in Pakistan, and points out one fact that most other guides on this topic leave out.

The Short Answer

  • Code: 0327
  • Original network: Warid Telecom
  • Current network: Jazz, after the 2016 merger
  • Full Warid range: 0320 to 0329

How Warid Became Part of Jazz

VimpelCom, the parent company of Mobilink, and Abu Dhabi Group, the parent company of Warid, announced their merger deal in November 2015. Pakistan’s Competition Commission approved it in March 2016, and the deal was completed by July 2016. The two companies combined their networks and customers, then launched the joint brand Jazz in January 2017.

Old Warid prefixes, including 0327, stayed in use after the merger. They did not disappear or get reassigned. They simply moved under Jazz’s ownership, and Jazz now issues new SIMs from these ranges too.

Here is where every prefix stands as of now.

Code Range Network
0300–0309 Jazz (originally Mobilink)
0310–0319, 0370 Zong
0320–0329 Warid, now part of Jazz
0330–0338 Ufone
0339 Onic, a Ufone brand
0340–0349 Telenor
0355 SCOM, limited to Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan

SCOM is a regional operator. It works well in the mountain areas of AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan but has little to no presence elsewhere in the country.

Why Your Prefix Might Not Match Your Current Network

Pakistan introduced Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in March 2007. It lets a person keep the same number and prefix while switching to a different network operator. Because of this, a 0327 number could actually be running on Zong, Ufone, or Telenor today if the owner chose to port it.

So the prefix tells you which network the number was originally issued on, not necessarily the network carrying the call right now. Most pages on this topic skip this point, but it matters if you are trying to identify a number with certainty. If you need to confirm the real, current operator behind a specific number, the safest way is to ask the person directly or verify through your own telecom provider.
