The State Bank of Pakistan launched this scheme in 1960 under the name "National Prize Bonds." It was established under specific laws and regulations, and all Prize Bond operations are controlled by State Banking Service Corporation Bank. Every three months, Rs 100 prize bond draw is held in several cities across Pakistan. The draw is conducted by the Directorate of National Savings by the schedule of prize bonds issued each year.
