The 1 kg price of flour has increased by Rs25 in Peshawar, and this directly affects the household budget. The local market has also been under pressure as a result of increased demand by the flood-affected regions which have also contributed to the increase in the prices.
On top of the flour price in Peshawar today, wheat is being sold at Rs61 per kg, and maize is being sold at Rs83 per kg. According to market sources, the government has failed to buy wheat on time which has aggravated the supply chain.
