Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Thursday, following a slight upward trend in the global market. The price of 24K gold per tola rose by Rs 2,000, bringing the new rate to Rs 449,500.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APSJA), 10 grams of 24K gold also increased and is now priced at Rs 385,380.
Other categories recorded similar gains:
- 22K gold: Rs 412,154 per tola — Rs 353,265 per 10 grams
- 21K gold: Rs 393,420 per tola — Rs 337,208 per 10 grams
- 20K gold: Rs 374,686 per tola — Rs 321,150 per 10 grams
- 18K gold: Rs 337,217 per tola — Rs 289,035 per 10 grams
Silver prices also rose, trading at Rs 6,370 per tola, as buyers prepared for the festive season.
Traders said the local market remained steady despite the rise. The increase came after a minor upward movement in the international gold rate, which directly impacted domestic prices.
