The Google navigation app Waze released several updates integrated with Gemini artificial intelligence. The new options target motorcycle riders and drivers who want fewer voice interruptions.
Google has updated its popular navigation app Waze with Gemini artificial intelligence. Waze Vice President and General Manager Gai Berkovich announced the launch of a dedicated motorcycle mode.
The software uses artificial intelligence to calculate optimal arrival times and identify shortcuts and restrictions specific to two-wheeled vehicles.
New Protections for Two-Wheeler Riders
According to an official Google announcement, the system highlights physical road hazards like the following:
- Potholes and speed bumps.
- Raised crosswalks.
- Narrow bridges and ending road shoulders.
Human map editors and real-time traffic data update these safety alerts.

The motorcycle feature is currently available in selected countries, including Malaysia and the Philippines. Waze plans to spread the service to more regions soon.
