OpenAI has featured the ChatGPT Atlas browser which offers you a smarter way to browse the web and handle your daily online chores. The new OpenAI ChatGPT Atlas is now available globally for macOS users, with versions for Windows, iOS, and Android on the way.
Smarter Browsing Experience and Key Features
Atlas features ChatGPT directly in the new-tab page, allowing you to write, search, and get summaries without leaving the browser. It utilizes your browsing history, openings, and accounts that you are signed in to present you with your own recommendations. Past sessions are also recorded by the browser and you can continue where you were or do most of the tasks easily.
A highlight of Atlas is its Agent Mode, now in preview for Plus, Pro, and Business users. This feature allows the assistant to take actions within the browser, such as comparing products, reopening tabs, or completing online tasks from start to finish.
Privacy remains a major focus. Users can clear history, use incognito mode, and manage stored memories anytime. OpenAI confirms Atlas doesn’t use browsing data for training.
