Local mobile phone production in Pakistan recorded 18.95 million units during the first seven months of 2025, according to Topline Research. In the same period last year, production stood at 17.83 million units.
Mobile Phone Imports in Pakistan 2025
Pakistan imported 1.03 million units of mobile phones in January to July 2025, as compared to 1 million units in the same period of 2024. Imports of mobile phones had reached 0.17 million in July 2025.
The domestic production of mobile phones has been on a steady trend, with a total of 3.59 million mobile phones manufactured in July 2025. The growth indicates the interest of Pakistan in improving the production of mobile phones in Pakistan to decrease dependence on imports.
The report shows that mobile phones production in Pakistan continues to outpace imports, with the majority of demand being met by locally manufactured units. The mobile industry in Pakistan 2025 is expected to maintain this trend as government policies and local assembly units expand their capacity.
