PTA Blocks Unregistered Mobile Phones: DIRBS Registration Guide 2025

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has said that all mobile phones not registered in its system will be blocked from local networks. Citizens in Pakistan should register their devices with the Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS). This helps them use services smoothly.

According to the PTA, unregistered phones can be used to commit various frauds, scams, and serious cybercrimes. The authorities reminded people that buying, selling, or keeping these devices is illegal in Pakistan.

People have been warned not to deal with unregistered mobiles. Since these devices are not listed in the official system, they cannot run legally on Pakistani networks. Anyone who continues using them may face blocked services and legal action.

PTA also gave a reminder that the time to comply is short. To prevent network blockage, take a DIRBS check as soon as possible to be able to access network services and legal use of mobile phones in Pakistan.
