Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has conducted a draw for 720 newly constructed flats for homeless industrial workers across the province.
She launched the draw by starting the process herself and congratulated the successful workers. She said the selected workers will now become homeowners.

The chief minister directed officials to allocate flats to widows and persons with disabilities without including them in the draw. She also ordered that workers with special needs should receive ground-floor flats to ensure safety and easy access.
Maryam Nawaz announced that another 1,872 flats for industrial workers will be completed within the next 18 months. She instructed authorities to complete a bachelor hostel for 700 workers at Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura within three months.
During the event, the chief minister personally called an industrial worker, Nadeem Tahir, to congratulate him. She advised him to keep his parents with him and said their prayers led to his success.
Officials said the government will provide 672 flats in Sundar Phase II, 656 in Multan, and 544 in Warburton, Nankana Sahib. In Jhang and Kamalia, 2,000 industrial workers will receive free three-marla residential plots after infrastructure development is completed.
