Credit card usage in Pakistan spiked in October 2025. Consumers spent 173 billion rupees, a 29% rise over the 134 billion rupees spent in the same month last year. The jump shows stronger financial activity and a wider adoption of digital payments. September posted the same spending level, keeping monthly credit card use steady.

At the same time, private-sector borrowing continued to expand. By the end of October, total private-sector loans reached Rs 9.705 trillion, with Rs 8.334 trillion going to private businesses. These figures point to rising demand for credit across both consumers and companies.

Overall, the month closed with firm growth in credit card transactions and steady borrowing trends, signaling active participation from households and businesses in the financial sector.
