Tecno Pova Slim 5G Set to Debut as the Thinnest 5G Smartphone in the World

Set to debut in India on September 4, the Pova Slim 5G by Tecno claims to be the thinnest 5G phone worldwide. Measuring only 5.75 mm thick, the device has a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate that guarantees crisp graphics for gaming, streaming, and everyday usage.

With a 5,200mAh battery providing long-lasting performance and a 50MP main back camera able of snapping vivid and detailed images, the phone will feature Circle to Search and a built-in writing assistant. Tecno has also unveiled Ella, a smart assistant supporting several Indian languages and navigation.

The most notable aspect of the Pova Slim 5G is that the device supports the No Network Communication feature, enabling users to call even when no network coverage is available. The design is based on the Spark Slim concept, revealed earlier this year by Tecno, which integrates grace and functionality into a super-thin shape.

The release positions Tecno directly against other ultra-slim curved-screen phones, including the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, the thinnest phone in the Guinness World Record. The Pova Slim 5G with its mix of style, performance, and 5G connectivity is emerging as one of the most expected smartphones releases in India in 2025.
