In a similar move, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority halted the flight operations of Serene Air in early October 2025, claiming that the company was not meeting its aviation safety and operational requirements. The suspension came after the airline was discovered to be having no serviceable aircraft to operate.

The PCAA affirmed that the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) of Serene Air has been suspended until the airline has the required number of airworthy aircraft and fulfills the safety compliance requirements. By October 2025, the Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 737-800 fleets of Serene Air are still grounded, and none of them are currently in operation in Pakistan or abroad.

The complete domestic airline ranking chart for January–June 2025 is available on the official PCAA website.
