Gold Price Movement Over 5 Days
| Date | 24K Gold (Per Tola) |
|---|---|
| August 16 | Rs. 453,700 |
| August 17 | Rs. 453,700 |
| August 18 | Rs. 455,800 |
| August 19 | Rs. 461,500 |
| August 20 | Rs. 462,000 |
Why Gold Keeps Rising
Pakistan imports nearly all of its gold, so the local rate tracks two things closely: the international spot price and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. When either one moves, the Sarafa Bazar rate tends to follow within hours rather than days, which explains why the price can shift this much over a short stretch like the past five days.
