The Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has launched the Punjab emission testing fee for all vehicles starting November 10. This step aims to monitor vehicle emissions across the province.

Punjab Emission Testing Fee Structure

The department announced vehicle fees based on engine size:

  • Up to 1,000cc: Rs. 500

  • 1,001cc to 1,500cc: Rs. 800

  • 1,501cc to 2,500cc: Rs. 1,000

  • 2,501cc to 4,500cc: Rs. 1,500

  • Above 4,500cc: Rs. 2,000

The fee must be paid online through the official e-Pay system. Users will receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile numbers after payment.

Motorists appearing for the test must carry their CNIC. The department stressed that testing will not be conducted without proper identification. Vehicle owners should ensure payments are complete before visiting the testing centers.

Some vehicles are exempted from Punjab emission testing fee but vehicle owners are advised to rely on official notifications only.

Punjab emission test fee implemented due to rising pollution in the province and to track vehicles emitting smoke and pollution.
