Gold got cheaper on Monday. The price of one tola of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,800, bringing it down to Rs466,136. The drop matched a fall in gold prices in the world market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared these rates. It also said the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs1,543, now standing at Rs399,636.
On Saturday, gold had closed at Rs467,936 per tola after a much bigger fall of Rs15,100 in a single session. Monday’s drop is smaller, but it means the price has kept sliding for two sessions in a row.
