Hyundai Announces Higher Car Prices Under 25% Tax, Azadi Offer Valid Until August 31

Hyundai Nishat Motor has increased the prices of its cars in Pakistan, starting August 12, 2026. The company sent this notice to its dealers on August 11. It says the new prices are not its own decision. They are a direct result of a tax change made by the government.

Why Prices Went Up

The Federal Budget for FY2026-27 raised the sales tax on applicable vehicles to 25%. Because of this tax change, Hyundai had to update its ex-factory prices. The company has made this clear: it did not choose to raise prices on its own, the new government tax made it necessary.

New Hyundai Car Prices

Here’s how much more you’ll pay for each model, compared to the price before the budget:

Model Old Price (PKR) New Price (PKR) Price Increase
Elantra Hybrid 9,895,000 11,400,000 1,505,000
Tucson Hybrid Smart FWD 11,220,000 12,926,000 1,706,000
Tucson Hybrid Signature AWD 12,240,000 14,101,000 1,861,000

Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD 13,995,000 16,123,000 2,128,000

Every model has gone up by about 15%.

The Azadi Discount Offer

Hyundai is also running a limited-time Azadi Offer. This discount brings the price back down on the same models, but only until August 31, 2026.

Here’s what you’ll actually pay under the Azadi Offer, and how much you save:

Model Discounted Price (PKR) You Save (PKR)
Elantra Hybrid 10,761,000 639,000
Tucson Hybrid Smart FWD 12,202,000 724,000
Tucson Hybrid Signature AWD 13,300,000 801,000
Santa Fe Hybrid Smart FWD 13,258,000 1,316,000
Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD 14,720,000 1,403,000

How to Get the Discounted Price

If you want to buy at the Azadi Offer price, keep these two dates in mind:

  • The offer ends on August 31, 2026
  • You need to book your car with full payment before this date to lock in the discounted price

Book and pay after August 31, and you’ll pay the new, higher price instead.
