The wait is nearly over for the new Toyota HiLux. Toyota Motor Thailand has officially confirmed that the 2026 Toyota HiLux will make its global debut on November 10, 2025, through a worldwide livestream event. The new HiLux continues to be produced in Thailand, where most of Toyota’s ute lineup is built, and this launch marks one of the brand’s most anticipated unveilings in years.

Design and Features
A new Toyota HiLux teaser released by Toyota showcases slimmer, upswept LED headlights, C-shaped tail-lights, and a nostalgic ‘TOYOTA’ badge on the grille. The overall design remains tough but gains a sharper and more modern edge.

The cabin is updated inside and inspired by the latest LandCruiser Prado. It currently features a larger infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster. The 2.7-litre petrol engine is expected to be dropped, while the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel with 48-volt mild-hybrid support will likely take the lead.
Power and Platform
Although still built on the proven IMV ladder-frame platform, the new HiLux will bring better refinement and more advanced technology. Toyota is also preparing hybrid and fully electric versions, hinted at in presentations shown at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Looking Ahead
More details, including pricing and local specifications, will be confirmed during the global debut. Having the new appearance, hybrid-ready engines and enhanced off-road capabilities, the 2026 Toyota HiLux will enter the tough ute market and compete with the Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max.
