Govt to take over Uber, Careem as resolution submits in Punjab Assembly


Government can take over two main ride hailing services Careem and Uber as 2 provincial assembly members submitted the resolution.

Govt to take over Uber Careem as resolution is submitted in the Punjab Assembly. Raees Nabeel and Makhdoom Usman, from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) submitted the resolution.

According to its text, complaints against Uber and Careem are increasing day by day. In addition, The app-based services’ treatment with people is also not appropriate. However, both companies are also not providing due rights to the vehicle owners and drivers registered with them.

Both MPAs demanded in the resolution that govt to take over Uber Careem and should run them under their supervision so people not only get better job opportunities but they are also provided with the better transportation.
